Volunteering is an opportunity to grow, and train for, an altruistic human awareness. Students can give their time to serve others while discovering how much they receive back in return.
RUI students volunteer at soup kitchens for the homeless in Rome. During the summer, RUI students participate in a work camp abroad (Tanzania, Nicaragua), which has helped build classrooms, sanitary facilities and sports fields over the years.
There is no shortage of sports activities in the daily life at the Residence. All students can benefit from the agreements RUI has in place with the nearby sports facilities (pool, gym, soccer and tennis).
Moreover, piano concerts (from classical to jazz), conferences, congresses, and theater performances make the RUI assembly hall a place where, every year, leading players from the worlds of art, music, literature, current events and professionals come together.
The Inauguration of the academic year and the party with residents’ families in May are among the most significant events that take place every year.
RUI is a place where passion for every dimension of human nature is stimulated, with the genuine university spirit: open to truth and respectful of everyone’s freedom.
RUI provides the opportunity to confront important questions about human existence through daily conversations with professors and students, debates and conversations about current affairs, and activities such as “Introduction to Christianity”. RUI follows some traditions that every Christian family does and we celebrate the Holy Mass. The chaplain is available to all students.
Participation in these activities is always voluntary and the Residence is open to students of any religious denomination.
